How Great Is Our God?!
Never will there be enough words to express His greatness and our gratefulness! We are back in Tamale and it is good to be home. When we left Ghana, we really were not sure what to expect about our return here so when God, thru doctors and technology, put Bob back on the Mission Field, it is something very special and dear to us. We could never express to Him how grateful we are – Praise God – He knows our hearts!
Our staff and friends here have been greeting us and letting us know how they have been praying and praying for God to bring us back here. That is too amazing to even think about.
The compound looks great and everyone has worked hard to continue the ministry while we were gone. It has been fun to hear some of their ‘behind the scenes’ stories as they ministered to the teams that came while we were gone. But they enjoyed each of them and have already told us much about this one’s personality and how that one is so much like someone else that comes or how this one speaks with such authority and another one made them laugh. Thank you to each of you who were here for making them all feel so loved.
We arrived here Saturday morning with the team from Christway Church and they hit the ground running. By 3pm we were in Sagnarigu where we dropped six of them at the Bible Club under the tree and took four to Simon’s house where the new church meets. We then divided into 3 groups, along with Simon, Charles, and a couple of their elders and went door to door.
It was so good to be back in a village again. I still say the Dagomba people have to be the most hospitable people in the world. What a blessing to spend time with them and listen to the stories about what is going on.
Today, Sunday, the team divided with one group going back to Sagnarigu to preach and the other going to Trinity Presby. Both had great worship services, got back in time to eat lunch, observe the baptism of 20 people and go out to visit two Bible Clubs and fellowship with a group of ladies who very happy to receive a small love gift the ladies helped make.
How great is our God?! As we reflect back on 2012, we have seen MANY blessings in many lives. It has been a time of good-byes as Toby and his family moved back to the US, Jonathan’s adoption was finalized, we have seen more of God’s miracles, we purchased the ‘new to us’ bus, Over 300 people have gone through the baptismal pool, funds are being raised for the Salaga Area Ministry Center, along with three church buildings to be built in 2013, and the number of Bible Club children soared to over 9,100. How GREAT is our God!
Have a Blessed 2013,
Bob & Bonnie
