God's Protection

Greetings from Jirandogo,

There is an old song that says “I don’t like spiders and snakes”; that song should also say Brown Scorpion. When we were stacking blocks we encountered a family of 4 residing under the blocks so we moved them out before we move in. Praise God no one was bitten and the work continues. God’s angels are always protecting us from so many things that we are unaware of. God’s grace and mercy is explained in Romans: 8:39 Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. Just knowing that should spark a zeal in us to love him more. Bob

Did you name them. We cannot cook any pets! We will look for a good recipe.

At least it was under the blocks, and not under the bed as the snakes were one morning. LOL

I'll hope those guys aren't the skillet ready types. Let's save them for Revelation and keep the stingers unused for the ministry!

We always pray for your continued success in spreading the Gospel and your good health. Story above is a great reminder that we also need to ask God to protect you from all harm as well.

Wonderful Blessings

We are having so many wonderful blessings.

  • We had 2 days working at the Jirandogo Ministry Center putting up a fence and securing the property lines.
  • We had a church to baptize 11 people on Saturday.
  • We preached at Pastor Amos’ Church on Sunday. They were rocking and dancing and then we sang some old Hymns which was very nice.
  • We also enjoyed our 44th Wedding Anniversary. Bonnie made some great baked fish - very tasty.
  • Jesse is here taping more languages so people can hear God’s Story in their own language.
  • We are also translating the God’s Story questions into two new languages and beginning to record them.

Boys will be Boys and these guys out at the Salaga Outpost Area are no different. They are so much fun. They are part of the Jirandogo Bible Club which is one of the largest we have with 144 students. Now that is a handful! When I asked Christopher how many children he has attending the Bible Club, he said, “Some of the children had to go to the farm so there was only 125 that attended last week.

Please pray that Satan will stay out of our way as we work in these new areas. There are so many opportunities to reach the lost.

A.W. Tozer said, “A low view of God is the cause of a 100 lesser evils and a high view of God is the solution to 10,000 problems.” We have a God that never fails. He always succeeds at whatever He does. Now that’s our God. If we are locked on to him we will never fail. God Bless You All.  Bob & Bonnie

Has there ever been a time in Ghana where the work ends, maybe slow down, perhaps pause just for awhile? I don't really think so. I pray you all get your rest for the next day's work God has prepared in advance. So glad the Good News never gets old!

God Things

I am sharing this picture with you because I find it amazing the way God works sometimes. I pray it is not copyrighted  and it is ok to share this. It is from an email that Bob received this week - an email from a dear prayer warrior - but the thing is she sent this in 2010 and has since gone to be with the Lord! Imagine our surprise and delight to receive this from Judi!
I know there are plenty of you that will be telling me all about cyberspace and how these things happen. And I know you are right. But I am choosing to believe this is her message to us today. Because here is her message that went along with the picture.
HE ARRIVED THIS MORNING, WE HAD PRAYER; SPENT SOME TIME JUST TALKING, AND HE HELD ME FOR AWHILE BECAUSE I WAS HAVING A BAD MORNING. THEN, HE WAS ON HIS WAY TO YOUR PLACE.

I know in heaven we won't have any bad mornings and I know the email date was 2010 so this was was 'supposed' to come to us then. But it doesn't surprise me in the least that God held it just for this time. And I can just see Jesus stopping by her mansion to spend some time talking. What an AWESOME God we have!!!

We praise God for HIS love for all people's and especially for the Salaaga people. Our prayers are with you daily. On the very day

the chief gave the land for the ministry center, We were with a Ghanaian nurse with my very ill father. He passed away on March 8th, God answered many prayers that day. GOD has blessed us with your faithfulness in action. Thank you for being available and all your sacrifices to carry out the GOSPEL! Amen!
