1 Corinthians 12:12

Written by Chris G.

1 Corinthians 12:12
The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body.   So it is with Christ.

We have been blessed to have the Christ Way team and along with this team of 8, we received two college students, Sidney, who attends Western Kentucky University and Chris from Ball State University, in Muncie Indiana.

It became very obvious that we had a wide range of talents, ages, knowledge of the Scripture, and backgrounds, but what wasn’t obvious was how these 10 people, many of whom had never met, would come and become one with Christ.

While the team was here, the CLTA classes were going on throughout the week with Pastor Don teaching through Philippians. The rest of the team went to the schools and villages teaching about Christ. It soon became known that these 10, strangers before the start of this trip, were putting Christ first in everything they were doing.

From Baptist, Methodist to Non-denominational, we are all called to be one with Christ as the head. That was the challenge that was given to me, when I was nervous about having to speak at a different denomination church one Sunday morning.

Only to hear one of the members of the church give me the same challage I was given before I left that morning. “It doesn’t matter the sign that hangs above the door, or in this case the thatch, but all that matters is we are trying to love God.”

We hope that you are reminded, just as we were, that it doesn’t matter your background, knowledge of the Scripture,  age or talent,  God can still use you in a migthy way; all that matters is that you’re trying to love God and sharing His love with others.

It truly does not matter what denomination you belong to. We are all serving the One True God. Keep up the good work of spreading the Gospel

Loving God, and loving each other is the main commandment in Scripture, from Jesus' own lips. Maybe not as easy as it sounds, but always worth the effort. I love the shade from the big trees, a definite blessing.

Our Christian identity is more important than our denominational allegiance or identity. It continues to amaze me as to how denominationally caught up the Western church is when majority of the Christian world focus is on the oneness of the church of The Lord Jesus Christ!!! Yes, in Christ there is neither Baptist nor Methodist, nor A/G, etc., but Christians!!! May His name and ONLY His name be praised now and forever, Amen!!!

I love it when we get reports of what happens when the things of God are given first priority. Super!
